Confetti Caramel Bars

Ingredients

1 cup packed brown sugar 1 cup (2 sticks) butter softened
1 ½ tsp vanilla 1 egg
2 cups flour ½ cup corn syrup
2 Tb butter ½ package nestle toll house butter-
Scotch flavored morsels(1 cup) 
1 cup mini M & M’s 1 cup chopped salted nuts 

 

Instructions

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix brown sugar, 1 cup butter, the vanilla and egg in large bowl. Stir in flour. Spread evenly in bottom of ungreased 9 x 13 x 2 pan. Bake 20 to 22 minutes or until light brown. Cool 20 minutes.
Heat corn syrup, 2 Tb butter and butterscotch chips in heavy 1- quart saucepan over Low heat, stirring constantly, until morsels are melted; remove from heat. Cool 10 minutes. 
Spread butterscotch mixture over baked layer. Sprinkle with candy and nuts; gently press into butterscotch mixture. Cover refrigerate at least 2 hours until butterscotch mixture is firm.
